On Monday, June 1, work will begin on transforming the Tims Hortons in the Life Sciences Centre from a limited to a full-service location. Work is expected to continue until mid August. An exact date for its re-opening will be announced around that time.

During the construction period, members of the LSC and Henry Hicks building communities will not totally miss out on their favourite Double-Double brew; a temporary Tim Hortons location will be set up in the Pizza Pizza in the LSC food court for the remainder of the summer! This location will offer coffee, tea, donuts, and pastries. In addition, the Grille Works right next door will be offering breakfast sandwiches in addition to their regular items. Please note that Extreme Pita will continue normal operations during the renovations.

Hours of operation of the temporary Tims Hortons location will be Monday to Thursday: 7:30am-3:30pm, and Fridays from 7:30am-3:00pm. Pizza Pizza will re-open when the renovations to the Tims are completed.

The renovated Tim Hortons will feature a larger service area, allowing it to expand its menu offerings. The store will offer breakfast and lunch fare, including sandwiches, wraps, soups, kettle chips, and fruit smoothies, as well as its usual variety of coffee, tea, and speciality beverages. Hours of operation will be communicated closer to the opening date.
