Laboratory supervisors are responsible for conducting annual inspections in laboratories under their supervision and for resolving health and safety problems identified during these inspections (Research Laboratory Safety Policy Manual, p.15). 

1. All laboratory inspections must be submitted to their department chair by June 30, 2014.
2. Chemical inventory for the laboratory must be forwarded to the Safety Office at steve.beaton@dal.ca.
- Please use the provided chemical inventory template.
3. Supervisors must ensure that MSDSs are available and up-to-date. 

All documents, forms, and templates can be obtained via the Safety Office website. 

Regular laboratory inspections play a key role in preventing accidents and injuries by identifying hazards, implementing corrective measures and monitoring the effectiveness of the controls.
