Posted by Dalhousie Multifaith Centre on January 31, 2014 in General Announcements

A week-long series of events to observe United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week begins on February 1. Titled "Sacred Spaces: Meeting Our Neighbours," the Week is co-sponsored by the Dalhousie Multifaith Centre. A number of faith communities have been invited to each hold an event during the Week to which the public is invited. These events will be held in regular places of worship, prayer, and practice.

On February 3 there will be a Celebration Event in the Multipurpose Room, Rosaria Centre, Mount Saint Vincent University. The program will celebrate understanding, harmony, and compassion through songs, music, prayers, meditation, dance, and displays presented by people of diverse faiths.

On Tuesday, February 4, there will be a talk by Dr. Scott Dunbar who will present his findings on the Atlantic Canada Interfaith Landscape, a research project for the Federal Government. The talk will be given in the Peace Room of the Evaristus Building at the Mount at 7 p.m.
