PAY RATE:As per CUPE Collective Agreement                    

WORK ASSIGNMENT: This Part-Time Academic will take responsibility for the teaching and grading of THEA 2810Y –Voice and Speech II and THEA 3810Y – Voice and Speech III, including the preparation of assignments and the evaluation of students.  This Part-Time Academic will be expected to collaborate with colleagues in the day-to-day administration of the Dalhousie Theatre Department’s Acting Program.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:1) MA, MFA, or equivalent; 2) Candidates should be trained as specialists in Voice and Speech; 3) teaching experience at the postsecondary level, with evidence of effective teaching ability; 4) professional experience as an actor and/or coach; and 4) training ability in the following areas: vocal production, IPA, speech, accents and dialects and text analysis.
