DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:  Department of History
PAY RATE:  As per Collective Agreement

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  The part-time academic will be responsible for History 1502.03, Origins of Modern Global Society, a first-year class conducted in the Winter Term of the 2013-14 academic year, January 1 to April 30, 2014, which explores how diverse cultures around the world experienced modern social and economic forces through the eighteenth century to the present.  Class is currently scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 11:35-12:25.  The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation.  The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:  Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in History or be registered in a Ph.D. programme and have experience teaching in the area of global history.  Interested parties are asked to apply by hand-delivered letter or FAX (supported with a C.V.) to the following:
