Car Share HFX for faculty and staff

Posted by Facilities Management / Office of Sustainability on January 25, 2013 in General Announcements

Cycling or walking between Halifax campuses is a great active way to commute, but getting to the Agricultural Campus in Bible Hill is a different story. So if you are interested in “sharing” a car with your fellow Dal staff and faculty to the AC campus or locations in HRM that are costlier than cab fare, we have the answer – Car Share HFX.

Dalhousie is partnering with Car Share HFX to provide staff and faculty access to two vehicles on campus, plus access to a fleet of more than 20 ready-to-use cars around the city.

If you are interested in learning about Car Share HFX workplace  benefits and costs, how to access the online reservation system, or would like to sign up for one of our lunch & learn sessions, contact the Dalhousie Sustainability office at rethink@dal.ca.

You're also invited to attend Car Share HFX's fourth birthday party, which will be held on campus today, January 25, from 4:30-6 p.m. in Ondaatje Hall of the McCain Building. It will feature a presentation from Tim Papandreou, director of sustainable streets of San Francisco, on "How can we create a city/region where using a car will be the last resort?"
