Dalhousie researchers have identified an alternative to the tape used in commercial lithium-ion batteries that almost entirely prevents the power sources in laptops and other devices from losing their charge when sitting idle and boost battery life up to 10 per cent. Thanks to PhD student Anu Adamson and Michael Metzger, an assistant professor in the Department of Physics and Atmospheric Science, for making the world a little bit better.

The Government of Nova Scotia committed $4.5 million to fund a new Dal-operated clinic in Halifax that will provide mental health and addictions services for Nova Scotians who do not have access to coverage through private insurance.
