This weekend, stargazers of all stripes will be looking upwards as the Perseid meteor shower is set to colour the night sky. And those headed to the Eastern Shore to watch can learn from the experts as staff from the Dal Planetarium serve as guides to one of the year’s most impressive starry spectacles.

Back in April, the Agricultural Campus took part in the Soil Conservation Council of Canada's "Soil Your Undies" campaign, using cotton underwear to test soil health. In July, during Community Day, the results were dug up.

This July, 40 Indigenous youth from Atlantic Canada and as far away as Quebec and Labrador attended week-long health science camps at Dalhousie, Cape Breton University and St. Francis Xavier University.

Pride Week 2018: As a peer educator with Human Rights and Equity Services, Rachele Manett focuses on intersectionality in helping people and communities better understand issues affecting 2SLGBTQ+ communities on campus and beyond.

First launched at Dalhousie in 2014, the PLANS summer camp — which now reaches African Nova Scotian youth across the province — prepares high school students of African descent for postsecondary studies in the health professions.
