Baking spirits bright: Scenes from Dal's Holiday Cookie Decorating Celebration

- December 23, 2025

’Twas two days before the university closes for the holidays, and Dalhousie faculty, staff, students and their families gathered for the second annual Dal holiday cookie decorating.

The new campus tradition, hosted in Howe Hall’s Cameron Room, featured Dal President Kim Brooks and Dr. Sachin Seth, Senate Chair and a Faculty of Dentistry professor who has made not one but two appearances on The Great Canadian Baking Show

Decorators were greeted with holiday music and warm hot chocolate. The decoration table featured cookies shaped as trees and gingerbreads, and could be topped with candy cane sprinkles, silver balls, cookie crumbles — or all three.
