A first-of-its-kind expo hosted on campus last month offered an immersive glimpse into some of the initiatives, research and partnerships that fuel Dalhousie's progress in supporting global sustainability goals.

The SDGs Expo, named after the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and hosted by Dalhousie's Office of Sustainability, drew hundreds of attendees to explore dozens of engaging information booths and research poster presentations over the course of an afternoon on March 10.

All 17 of the UN SDGs were represented at the event via the poster presentations, each of which was categorized into one of the goals based on its relevant theme. Students behind the research were on hand to discuss their projects and posters, which were judged on innovation and communications.

Stephanie MacPhee, executive director in the Office of Sustainability, presented awards to three winners shown below:

The expo, held in the McInness Room in the Dal Student Union Building, also brought relevant research groups, student societies, and community partners together to showcase how their work supports sustainability.

Anyone interested in making connections and getting involved had plenty of opportunities.
