The Tigers were on the road this weekend with the soccer teams travelling to Cape Breton and Antigonish and the cross country team in Wolfville.
Women’s Soccer
The women’s soccer team was in Sydney, Cape Breton to take on the Capers on Saturday. The women had an outstanding performance with two goals from Elise Evans and one goal from Hannah Firstbrook, but their comeback against the nationally ranked Capers fell short.
On Sunday the Tigers earned their first win against the X-Women with Bailey Hatcher’s lone goal securing the three points

Men’s Soccer
The men’s soccer team added two more 1-1 ties this weekend.
On Saturday, a great header from defender Jack Ellis saw the Tiger tie the defending national champions 1-1. It was deja vu all over again on Sunday with the Tigers tying the X-Men 1-1 off a Ben Hashimoto goal.
Cross Country
In wet and wild conditions in Wolfville on Saturday, the cross country team opened the AUS season. Both men and women claimed second overall. On the men's side, Jacob Benoit was the top Tiger winning the individual race. The top female runner for the Tigers was Breanna Sandluck who crossed the line in eighth place.

The week ahead
The soccer teams travel down Highway 101 on Friday to play Acadia and return to Wickwire field on Sunday for a 1pm tilt with Memorial. The cross country teams have the week off and return to the trails on September 21 in Antigonish.
