(Halifax, N.S.) - Dalhousie University presents our MUSCLE MLK Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 27, 2019.

Catherine Thompson, Cross Country

Fifth-year runner Catherine Thompson is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.

Catherine led the Tigers to their seventh-straight AUS cross country championship title.

She was the top runner for the Tigers, covering the eight kilometer course in just under 31 minutes.

Her placing earned her an AUS all-star nod and a trip to the national championship in two weeks in Kingston, Ont.

A master’s of marine management student, Catherine is from Blenheim, Ont.

Jonathan Goodridge, Cross Country

Second-year runner Jonathan Goodridge is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Male Athlete of the Week.

Jonathan led the Tigers to their second AUS championship titles in three years on Saturday.

He placed sixth in the eight kilometer race with a time of 26:05.0.

The Tigers top finisher, he was also an AUS all-star.

A native of St. John’s, N.L., Jonathan is a commerce student.
