(Halifax, N.S.) - Dalhousie University presents our MUSCLE MLK Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 11, 2018.

Courtney Baker, Volleyball

Fourth-year setter Courtney Baker is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.

Courtney led the Tigers to two regular season wins this past weekend.

She had 20 assists, five kills, four digs and two block assists while leading the Tigers to a 3-0 win over the visiting Moncton Aigles Bleues Friday night to earn Subway Player of the Game honours.

On Saturday, she added 19 assists, six kills, four digs, one service ace and a block assist in the Tigers 3-0 win over the UNB Reds.

A kinesiology student, Courtney is from Bridgewater, N.S.

Graham Schmuland, Volleyball

Third-year middle blocker Graham Schmuland is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Male Athlete of the Week.

Graham led the Tigers to two wins over the visiting UNB Reds over the weekend.

He had a match-high 18 kills, plus 11 digs, six aces and four blocks for a total of 26 points in Friday night’s 3-2 win over the Reds.

The next day, he added a match-high 16 kills plus 10 digs, three blocks and two aces for 19.5 total points in the Tiger second 3-2 win over UNB.

A native of Calgary, Alta., Graham is a computer science student.
