Alyssa Harding, Volleyball

Fourth-year libero Alyssa Harding is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.

Alyssa led the Tigers to a 3-2 record and a second-place finish at the Université de Montréal à Quebec tournament over the weekend.

She averaged 25 digs per match, recording a total of 123 digs over the course of the weekend. 35 of those digs came in the Tigers 2-3 loss to McGill in the championship final.

The team’s top serve receiver all weekend, she received 120 balls, passing a 2.1 out of 3.0.

A kinesiology student, Alyssa is from Toronto, Ont.

Alex Knesaurek, Soccer

First-year defender Alex Knesaurek is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Male Athlete of the Week.

Alex was steady on the defensive line all weekend for the Tigers.

He earned Sunway Player of the Game honours for his solid defensive play in Saturday’s 2-0 win over the visiting Moncton Aigles Bleus.

On Sunday, he was a key part of the Tigers defence again, playing another full 90 minutes keeping the Moncton players to just four shots on net.

A native of Toronto, Ont., Alex is a management student.
