(Halifax, N.S.) - Dalhousie University presents our MUSCLE MLK Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 25, 2018.

Michelle Reddy, Track & Field

Fourth-year runner Michelle Reddy is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.

Michelle led the Tigers to their 29th consecutive AUS championship title this past weekend

She earned five gold medals for the Tigers over the two-day event, winning the 600m, 1000m and 1500m, 4x400m and 4x800m events. She set a new AUS record in the 1000m event.

The AUS championship MVP, Michelle scored a total of 26 points, more than any other competitor (male of female) at the event.

A therapeutic recreation student, Michelle is from Halifax, N.S.

Audley Cummings, Track & Field

Third-year heptathlete Audley Cummings is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Male Athlete of the Week.

Audley led the Tigers to an AUS championship title over the weekend.

He earned three gold medals with wins in the heptathlon, long jump and as a member of the Tigers 4x200m relay team. He set a new AUS record in the heptathlon, winning four of the seven events. He was also fourth in the pole vault.

The AUS championship MVP, Audley was also named the AUS male field athlete of the year.

A native of Toronto, Ont., Audley is an environmental design student.
