Tigers Athletes of the Week (Week Ending Nov 26)

Lauren Ellerton, Hockey

Third-year defencewoman Lauren Ellerton is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.

Lauren led the Tigers to a 5-4 win over the St. Thomas Tommies Friday night in Fredericton.

She scored two goals and had five shots on net in the win. The Subway Player of the Game, she had a +2 rating during the game.

A neuroscience student, Lauren is from Toronto, Ont.

Mike Evelyn, Hockey

Fourth-year forward Mike Evelyn is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Male Athlete of the Week.

Mike scored the lone goal in the Tigers 3-1 loss to the Acadia Axemen Saturday night in Halifax.

He opened the scoring in the first period of the game, his first of the regular season. Mike earned a +2 rating in the game, logging big minutes on both the power play and penalty kill.

A native of Ottawa, Ont., Mike is an engineering student.
