(Halifax, N.S.) Dalhousie University presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 18, 2015.

Phoebe Lenderyou, Swimming

Second-year swimmer Phoebe Lenderyou is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.

Phoebe won the 50m, 100m, 200m backstroke and the 50m butterfly events at the Amby Leger Invitational swim meet at UNB over the weekend. She was also a member of two winning relay teams, leading the Tigers to a team victory.

She set CIS qualification times in all four individual events.

The Newcastle, England native is a management student.

Zach Shaffelburg, Soccer

Fifth-year midfielder Zach Shaffelburg is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.

Zach scored two goals in the Tigers 3-1 victory over the StFX X-Men on Sunday. He opened up the scoring for the Tigers early in the first half. He found the back of the net again just 10 minutes later to secure the victory for the Tigers.

The win ties the Tigers with the Cape Breton Capers for first in AUS standings

A native of Wolfville, N.S., Zach is a medical student.
