FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Name: Phoebe Lenderyou

Sport: Women’s Swimming

Phoebe Lenderyou of the Dalhousie Tigers women’s swim team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 18, 2015.

A second-year management student from Newcastle, England, Lenderyou won the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke events as well as the 50m butterfly event at the Amby Leger Invitational swim meet at UNB over the weekend. She set CIS qualifying times in all four events.

She was also a member of two winning relay teams, helping lead the Tigers to a team victory.

Ben Duffy of the CIS No. 3-ranked Saint Mary’s Huskies men’s hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 18, 2015.

The second-year forward from Lower Sackville, N.S. had a goal and two assists in Friday night’s 6-1 victory over the St. Thomas Tommies in Halifax.

Duffy posted another goal and an assist Saturday as the Huskies posted a 4-3 victory over the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus in Halifax.

Duffy’s five-point weekend moves him into a tie for third in AUS scoring.
