Rebecca Haworth, Track and Field
Fifth-year high jumper, Rebecca Haworth is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.
Rebecca re-claimed silver in the high jump with a leap of 1.79 metres at the CIS track and field championships this past weekend at the University of Windsor.
Rebecca’s second place finish led the women’s team to 14th, improving on last year's 17th place team finish.
She was also awarded the CIS Student-Athlete Community Service Award for the third straight year.
Rebecca is from Waverly, N.S. and is in her first year of medicine.
Jordan Bruce, Track and Field
Third-year jumper, Jordan Bruce is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.
Jordan snatched second place in this this past weekend’s CIS track and field championships at the University of Windsor.
Jordan bettered last year's fourth place finish in the triple jump by winning the silver medal with a leap of 14.91 meters.
His result helped the Tigers to a 12th place team finish, moving up from last year's 15th place.
A native of Dartmouth, N.S., Jordan is an arts student.
