Dalhousie University presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 27, 2013.

Louise Facca, Volleyball

Tigers volleyball fifth-year captain Louise Facca led her AUS number one team to two key wins this past weekend, recording 18 digs, 15 kills, eight aces and two blocks. On Friday night Dal bested the UNB Varsity Reds 3-0 and on Saturday afternoon they claimed a victory over l’Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues in three straight sets. Facca was named the Subway Player of the Game on Saturday for her leadership and effort on the court. Currently she is second in the AUS in service aces (27 total) and sixth overall for total points (185.5). Originally from Aurora, O.N., Facca is a Therapeutic Recreation student.

Shea Kewin, Hockey

Last weekend fourth-year hockey forward Shea Kewin set the pace for his team, outworking the opponent and making smart offensive plays. In Friday night’s 5-2 win over St. Thomas University he collected an assist and on Saturday night he tallied three goals for a hat trick in the Tigers 8-7 overtime victory over les Aigles Bleus. A Management student, Kewin hails from Guelph, O.N.
