This week’s Dalhousie G2 Female Athlete of the Week is second-year swimmer Keishia Mills. A Miramichi, N.S. native, she set a new AUS record of 2:33.89 with a first-place finish in the 200m breaststroke at the UPEI Invitational swim meet last weekend. She also took first place in the 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:13.19. A student in Dalhousie’s science program, Ms. Mills is one of 18 female Dalhousie swimmers who have qualified for this year’s CIS championship.

MALE – Graeme Higgins
SPORT – Volleyball
Fifth-year volleyball outside hitter Graeme Higgins is this week’s Dalhousie G2 Male Athlete of the Week. At the Interlock tournament at UNB this past weekend he led the Tigers to a 2-1 record that included wins over Sherbrooke and Montreal. His outstanding play showed on the scoresheet with a total of 51.5 points and 45 kills over the weekend. The Scarborough, Ont. native is enrolled in Dalhousie’s kinesiology program.
