Women’s volleyball captain Kirstie Shepherd is your Dalhousie G2 female Athlete of the Week. The fourth-year biology student posted seven kills, five and a half blocks, and 10 digs in last Friday’s game against Acadia as well as 10 kills and 14 digs in Saturday’s game versus Saint Mary’s. A Stoney Creek, ON native, Kirstie’s leadership skills have propelled the Tigers to an eighth place ranking in the CIS.

Fourth-year volleyball player Kenneth Rauwerda has been named G2 male Athlete of the week. The Calgary, AB native collected a total of 55 points in three games as the Tigers went 2-1 this past weekend, defeating interlock opponents Sherbrooke and Montréal. Kenneth’s 4.44 kills per set ratio places him second in the CIS and is one of the major reasons that the black and gold are currently on top of the AUS standings.
