The Life Sciences Centre, Chase, Chemistry and Macdonald buildings are all closed until further notice after a fire on Saturday night that affected the LSC biology tower. The additional closures are necessary because sprinkler systems in the four buildings are currently not operational.
The fire investigation and cleanup are underway in the LSC.
There was also a water line break in the Chase Building that has caused damage to the basement of that building. This is being assessed.
Updates will be posted here as they become available. Check back here as the day progresses.
The Dunn Building and the Hicks Building are not affected.
