Crisis communication on campus

- March 25, 2008

Dalhousie has just launched a new text messaging alert system to be used in case of emergencies. Examples include severe weather, hazardous spills, fire, a dangerous person or threat or other unpredictable events that threaten large groups.

For people who don't have cell phones, Dalhousie will communicate using other methods as appropriate, such as email, notices on the main web pages, and the media to send emergency messages.

What else can Dalhousie do to communicate with students, faculty and staff in case of emergencies?
