Do you ever wonder who actually wins those contests you enter? Wonder no longer.

This August, Communications and Marketing launched a comprehensive survey about the Dalhousie University website, www.dal.ca. The goal of the survey was to gather feedback about the website's organization and layout from faculty, staff, alumni, current and prospective students and anyone else who happened to drop by to visit. In total, over 3,500 individuals filled out the survey.

"We're trying to provide services that are relevant and informative for all of our website visitors, in particular prospective students," says June Davidson, Brand Manager for Dalhousie. "The information we gathered with the assistance of the Faculty of Computer Science will be a great help in the ongoing efforts to make www.dal.ca more useful and intuitive."

As a token of appreciation, five lucky participants chosen at random were presented with brand new iPods. The grand prize winner was Tyler Perrott, Dalhousie engineering student, who is now the proud owner of a 30Gb video iPod. Four other Dalhousie students - Mary Forstyh, Eric Hardiman, Brendan Osberg and Jennifer Pryor - now hold in their hands a 2Gb iPod nano.

And what music will be rocking through the earbuds of these iPods? Dalhousie News asked each of the winners to name the first three artists they're going to load onto their new prized possessions:
