Sophia Hopkins is this week's Dalhousie University Female Athlete of the Week. Hopkins was the dominant player in both weekend games as the Tigers came up with road ties against Nova Scotia rivals SMU (1-1 on Saturday) and 0-0 on Sunday against Acadia in Atlantic University Sport women's soccer action. Hopkins' headed goal from a corner kick was her first ever for Dal and provided the Tigers with a 1-0 advantage before the Huskies tied the game with 12 minutes remaining. On Sunday, she was all over the field in a terrific defensive display. Hopkins is a fifth-year Psychology student from Halifax, NS.

MALE - J-F PERRAS

J-F Perras

J-F Perras is this week's Dalhousie University Male Athlete of the Week. Perras stopped 36 of 37 shots in the Tigers' decisive 7-1 victory over the UNB Varsity Reds in Friday's Atlantic University Sport men's hockey game at Memorial Arena. The next day he faced 41 shots from the UPEI Panthers but was unable to record a win after allowing three goals in the 3-1 loss. Perras is a fourth-year Arts student from Embrun, ON.
