Farewell reception for Dean Lynn McIntyre

To honour Dr. Lynn McIntyre's accomplishments, the Diversity Institute is sponsoring a farewell reception to be held on Friday, May 6 at the King's College Dining Hall at 6 p.m.

Dr. McIntyre is completing her third term as Dean of the Faculty of Health Professions, a position she has held since 1992. She holds both a medical degree and a master's degree in Community Health and Epidemiology. In addition to her administrative role, Dr. McIntyre continues to be an active health researcher with a particular interest in food insecurity and hunger. She has a long-standing interest in Aboriginal health.

After a year's administrative leave, she will be joining the University of Calgary, Department of Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, as a full-time professor with primarily research responsibilities.
