Apply as a JD Student to the Schulich School of Law

Each year, the Schulich School of Law welcomes 170 new students to our vibrant, collegial, and close-knit Weldon community. As Canada’s national law school, our students come from every province and territory in Canada to earn a JD that is recognized across the country and around the world.

We are firmly committed to increasing equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility in the legal profession. We welcome applications from all candidates, including Mi’kmaq, African Nova Scotian, Indigenous and Black applicants. Our aim is to admit a first-year class of students that is enriched by a wide range of social, cultural, racial, ethnic, and educational backgrounds - a class that will contribute meaningfully to the law school, the legal profession and the broader community.
