Biography:

Dr. Theodoritsi joined the DLLC in 2026. She completed her undergraduate degree in Italian and Spanish Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Before embarking on her graduate studies, she worked as a staff translator at the Hellenic Ministry of Defence and as a freelance literary translator. She also completed a translation traineeship at the European Commission’s headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and worked at the European Union Intellectual Property Office in Alicante, Spain. After receiving two Master’s degrees in Italy and the US, she earned her PhD from the University of Ottawa with a thesis on the use of metatheatrical techniques in the works of Miguel de Cervantes and Luigi Pirandello from the lens of ancient Greek theatre. Dr. Theodoritsi has taught a wide range of undergraduate courses in Spanish and Italian language and literature in Canada and the US. She also taught Modern Greek in the International and Indigenous Languages Program of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. She is a board member of the Pirandello Society of America and reviews editor of the Society’s journal.
