Past SOSA Student Society President for two consecutive years, and current Social Anthropology Honours Student, Eve Dewing, has been selected for the McCall MacBain High Performance Leadership Academy. The Academy, featured in Dal News, provides a full scholarship for the upcoming school year as well as a stipend to complete a capstone project of Eve's choosing. Eve's research interests are in the health area involving AFAB peoples. Eve comments that "As a SOSA student, I've aligned my leadership goals with values of open mindedness, solidarity, and uplifting the voices of those in my community. I hope to utilize these skills in completing my honours thesis by employing academic research to bring forward the voices of those who are underrepresented in policy".
