SOSA is saddened to hear of the passing of our retired colleague Dr. Herb Gamberg. Herb was a popular teacher who mentored many students from his initial appointment in 1965 to well beyond his retirement in 1998, when he continued to serve as an instructor and Adjunct Professor in SOSA. His wit, love of basketball, and deep commitment to Marxist scholarship and social activism will be remembered fondly by his many colleagues, students, and friends. We send our sincere condolences to his partner Ruth and his family.
