How would you like to use your valuable skills and knowledge to help with a Dalhousie project in the Caribbean?

Do you want to incorporate more international experience in your teaching or research?

Do you want an opportunity to try something new and outside your usual comfort zone?

We need your skills and abilities to strengthen the capacity of our Caribbean educational partners.

We invite you to attend a discussion on Wednesday, May 1st at 10:00am in Haley 116.

The Dalhousie University, Faculty of Agriculture has been successful in winning three contracts in the Caribbean funded by The Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC).  The projects fall under ACCC’s Education for Employment program in the Caribbean (http://www.accc.ca/xp/index.php/en/programs/int-partnerships/efe-intro/efe-caricom).

The goal of the C-EFE is to contribute to economic development in the Caribbean by supporting the systemic development of the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system so that is responsive to the needs of the marketplace, producing highly skilled graduates with the skills needed in the workplace with mobility across the CARICOM region.

The purpose of the C-EFE is to assist the CARICOM in completing the shift from a supply- to a demand-driven TVET system, building on Canadian college, sector council and regional and international industry partnerships. It will also build a regional system for technical education, labour market information (LMI), advocacy and capacity to certify industry workers.
