Today’s society is increasingly a global world. Communities from around the globe are interdependent, businesses operate on a world-wide basis and environmental and social issues affect all countries. That's why we are committed to providing an international dimension for students, staff and faculty.
International Students
For international students we offer English language training, inbound student exchanges, student advising and information on academic registration, employment in Canada, health services, and Canadian cultural norms.
Visiting Research Students
Visiting Research Students are a special category of students who come to Dalhousie to further their research with a Dal supervisor. For information on the application process and fees, contact the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Visiting Research Students do not take any courses at Dalhousie; those who wish to take graduate courses at Dalhousie on a letter of permission should contact the Dalhousie Registrar Office.
Joint Academic Programs
We offer joint academic programs with the Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China; the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore, India; Annamalai University, India; and Dronten University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
Work or Study Abroad
Enhance your global knowledge base and professional skill set. Participate in a variety of international courses and internships ranging from one week or one semester to a full academic year.
International Projects
The Faculty of Agriculture is a large pool of expertise and experience in agriculture, the environment, entrepreneurship, aquaculture and engineering. We use these resources for international projects that enhance the capacities in universities, colleges, governmental and non-governmental organizations in the countries where we work.
