Extended Learning works together with the agriculture industry to bring you a variety of training courses that include professional development opportunities, online and distance courses, certifications, and university credit or preparatory courses.

Credit vs. non-credit courses—what's the difference?

Credit courses count toward a university degree and appear on your academic transcript.

Non-credit courses don’t count toward a degree but often offer a certificate of achievement upon completion. In some cases, you can choose whether to take a course for credit or not—depending on your goals.

Continuing education courses and programs (non-credit)

Don't need university credits? The following Faculty of Agriculture courses are available as continuing education for farmers, agricultural professionals, and others who are interested. 

Note: Fall term refers to September- December and winter terms refers to January- April.  Summer term refers to July and August.
