Climate and Clothing

Weather conditions in Halifax and Charlottetown are pleasant but variable in late August with average high/low temperatures of 24/14 0C, and occasionally reaching 30 0C.  Being located in a maritime climate, frequent rainfall can also be expected. The conference is being held near beaches that have the warmest waters north of the Carolinas so perfect beach weather may occur. Therefore, when preparing to travel to the region, it is encouraged that you include a waterproof jacket, comfortable shoes for walking, the ability to layer clothing as required, and your sense of adventure!
