Speakers
The Summer Institute will feature a strong line-up of speakers with different backgrounds and experience. An excellent student-instructor ratio and the interactive style of teaching will enable course participants to make the most of the presenters' expertise and specialised knowledge.
Lead instructors are:
- Kiran Banerjee, Canada Research Chair in Forced Migration Governance and Refugee Protection & Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, Dalhousie University
- Melanie Smith, PhD Student, Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology, Dalhousie University
- Ruben Zaiotti, Director, JMEUCE, JM Chair in Border Control & Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, Dalhousie University
They will be joined by several experienced instructors including:
- K.I.M. (Kim) Van Dam, Senior Researcher, Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, and Associated Researcher, University of Groningen, The Netherlands
