The Office of Commercialization and Industry Engagement (OCIE) supports the research community at Dalhousie, Nova Scotia Health Authority, and the IWK Health Centre by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and industry engagement to enable knowledge transfer to industry for public and economic development benefits.

The OCIE team supports researchers and industry in a number of ways including:

• managing and facilitating collaborations between companies and researchers
• commercializing research happening at Dalhousie University
• assisting in the creation of spin-off ventures
