About us

Dal News, a service of Communications, is Dalhousie University's news website. We aim to provide timely, relevant campus news, told through vibrant stories that keep the Dal community informed, engaged and excited by what happens across the university.

We publish stories on an ongoing basis, sharing them in a number of different channels including the Dal News Weekly email to all students, faculty, and staff.

Two other platforms also live under the Dal News umbrella: the myDal Daily (login required; previously Today@Dal), a daily campus digest for faculty and staff, and the Dalhousie Events Calendar. We also work in partnership with other communications teams, sharing content with Dal Student Life, Athletics, Alumni and others.
