For the second year in a row, theatre department chair Roberta Barker claims “best professor” honors in The Coast’s Best of Halifax issue. The weekly newspaper notes she “teaches three excellent-sounding courses.”

Also recognized in the Best of Halifax issue were:

  • Dal grad Mark Little as best comedian.
  • Dal acting instructor Sue LeBlanc-Crawford as best theatre actor.
  • Dal law prof Howard Epstein as best politico waiting in the wings.
  • Dal grad Megan Leslie as best Halifax Member of Parliament.

The T-Room, a hang-out for engineering students on Sexton campus, was deemed to put on the best trivia night.

Congrats Stan and Tom for winning the best trivia night in Halifax!
Congratulations Roberta!!!! It is truely well deserved!
Hey, both of Dal's campus bars made it as runners up for Best Student Hang in Halifax:

T-Room placed 2nd, and Grawood 3rd behind SMU's Gorsebrook.

Next year, watch out Gorsebrook. The T-Room has only just begun to peak.

Did Mark Little actually graduate from Dal? I thought he started his master's degree but dropped out before writing his thesis so that he could pursue the much more exciting world of improv?
Congratulations Roberta!
You are a fantastic prof and a wonderful Theatre Chair and we appreciate all that you are doing for the students here at Dal!
