Thank you to everyone who participated in events held last week as part of Dal’s first Employee Appreciation Week.
There was something for everyone on all campuses. Dal Dance choreographed some moves for faculty and staff, the Tiger made surprise visits to Faculties, departments and units, and some employees enjoyed their time with the horses at Halifax Lancers. There was also free Dalplex access all week, photo sessions, yoga, line dancing, a sustainability tour, a trivia game and the family skate on the Oval in Halifax.
And despite the chilly temperatures and long lines, hundreds came out for the four coffee breaks with leaders held on each of our campuses, with treats provided by Ol’ School Donuts.
Many units also held celebrations for their own teams, including the Office of Advancement, which hosted an appreciation breakfast for 60 staff. Occupational Therapy offered free yoga throughout the week for their faculty and staff, and Human Resources held a chip-and -dip party and collected donations for local charities.
