The women’s basketball team is holding their annual Shoot for the Cure basketball game on Saturday, January 21.
This national initiative sees all 52 U SPORTS women’s basketball teams work together to raise money for cancer research and the Canadian Cancer Society. Last year the Tigers raised over $5900 for cancer research as a team and at the national level we combined to raise over $156,000.
The Tigers will be collecting donations at our game on Saturday as well as online through our team donation page. The team will be holding a free throw contest on Thursday and are also accepting pledges for it (donation for each made free throws out of 100). Please contact a member of the team to pledge.
The Tigers will be facing the UNB REDS on Saturday night at 6pm at Dalplex. The men’s team hit the court right after, at 8pm.
Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, alumni and non-Dal students. Dalhousie students get in free with their DalCard.
