Did you know that applications for the ATLAS Summer Academy are now open?!

SuperNOVA, GALAXIA, and Dalhousie Space Systems Lab are partnering to present ATLAS (ATLantic Academy of Space). ATLAS is an educational initiative thar launched last year, which introduces Atlantic Canadian high school students to space exploration, artificial intelligence (AI), engineering, and technology through an intensive two-week CubeSat satellite design program on-campus at Dalhousie University.

This initiative is available free-of-charge to any student in Atlantic Canada going into Grades 10-12 in the fall. Prospective participants can fill out the application form, including a letter of intent. Applications must be submitted by March 20 2022, with decisions being made by April 18 2022. Below are some of the program details:

• Dates: July 18, 2022 - July 29, 2022, OR; August 2, 2022 - August 12, 2022

• Programming between 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday (except Natal Day)

• 3 meals per day will be provided

• Accommodation and travel stipends are also available at no cost, if required
