POSITION:                                   Teaching Assistant (1position available)

DEPARTMENT:                                 School of Information Management

PAY RATE:                                        $1,098 (45 hours) (In accordance with CUPE Collective                                                                          Agreement)

LOCATION:                                       Studley Campus; Current - remote                                              

WORK ASSIGNMENT:                     The Teaching Assistant will assist with INFO 6370 Records Management (Cross listed with MGMT 4370, MGMT 5012)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Marking assignments and other deliverables and maintaining an on-line grade book on Brightspace

2.     General administration of course

3.     Meeting and corresponding with students online for assistance regarding content and logistics of course

4.     Assist Instructor when needed

5.     Communicate regularly with the professor and marker

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:   

All tasks and roles will be completed online. Candidates should have completed an information organization, records management, archiving and/or related course at the undergraduate or graduate level and obtained a grade of B+ or better. Having attention to detail and timeliness is required. Candidates must be able to responsively correspond with students online regarding course logistics, content, and marks. Previous experience as a marker in this course or INFO 5515 or MGMT 5502 or MGMT 4370 would be an asset. Knowledge of or experience in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), decolonization, antiracism, social justice and/or anti-oppression principles and practices would be an asset.
