MGTA 2000 – Human Resource Management
Department/Location: Business and Social Sciences, Agricultural Campus
Pay Rate: 90 hours as per CUPE Collective Agreement - $2,197.00 gross.
Work Assignment:
This course is taught in-person. Duties include but are not limited to:
1) Preparation: Assist in rubric design and workshop setup.
2) In-class: Instruct a sub-group of the class, answer questions, supervise and evaluate during the workshop sessions.
3) Office duties: Discuss and give feedback on course design and planning of sessions as the course progresses, discuss student engagement and evaluation.
4) Marking, grading, and proctoring: Grade assignments, give feedback, invigilate in class mid-terms as required.
5) Other: Meet with individual students to advise on assignment improvement and course plans.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Applicants with relevant education at the undergraduate or graduate degree (i.e., with a background in Ag. Business, Ag. Economics, Int'l Food Business programs at DalAC or Business, Commerce, or Economics programs from another campus). Successful completion of a course in Human Resource Management with a minimum grade of A- or equivalent at the degree level are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to graduate students in the Department.
