Join SURGE as we launch the first Discover Coding sessions for the Fall 2021 semester. This semester, we will be offering 2 sessions. One will focus on the coding language of R and one will focus on the coding language of Python.
The Discover Coding series is aimed at people from science disciplines who have no previous experience with a programming language. We teach the basics of coding, using R and/or Python. If you have programmed before, but are new to R and/or Python, you will also find this workshop useful, if perhaps a bit slow at times.
For the Fall 2021 semester, we will be limiting our in person seats to 20 and have an additional 20 seats reserved for virtual synchronous learning. Please ensure you can make all sessions if registering as space is limited.
The R workshops will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays for 6 weeks starting Sept 28 and running until Nov 4 from 11:30 to 1 pm in SURGE sandbox – LSC O2660.

The Python sessions will be held Wednesdays for 8 weeks starting Sept 22 and running until Nov 17 (excl. reading week) from noon to 1 pm.
