Pets of Dalhousie: Meet Ash

Posted by Communications, Marketing and Creative Services on August 13, 2021 in Community Highlights

Ash is a short-haired black cat who just relocated with Kyle Wilby from New Zealand to Halifax. Kyle is a new associate professor in the College of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health. Ash braved seven flights total but he’s loving Halifax life so far. The photo below was taken on his layover in Vancouver.

Name: Ash

Nicknames: Flame

Species/Breed: New Zealand Street Cat / Bombay (short-haired black)

Age: Two — his birthday is October 28th.

Fave food: Goes all in for anything salmon! Grass is also a fav. Temptations turkey treats a major win.

Special tricks: Flew seven flights from Dunedin, New Zealand to Halifax via Saskatoon (due to Nova Scotia lockdown). Also very good at covering the keyboard during working hours and meowing constantly during live Zoom lectures.

Best Quality: 100% affectionate and always meets me at the door. Very social with new people.

Social Media Platform or handle if available: Not yet…but has a strong Twitter following on @KJ_Wilby
