POSTING DATE:  October 9th, 2020

RATE OF PAY:  $16/h (+ 4% vacation pay)
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: October to December, 2020 

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The employee will be responsible for assisting the primary instructor with workshop materials preparation for the Winter 2021 delivery of ERTH/GEOG 4520 "GIS Applications to Environmental and Geological Sciences". Responsibilities will include 1) the preparation of materials will include migrating 3-4 existing workshops from ArcMap (ArcGIS Desktop 10.5) to ArcGIS Pro 2.5, and 2) testing the entire suite of workshop exercises on the VLABS and RLABS systems to identify potential compatibility issues with the exercises and those systems.

REQUIREMENTS: The employee hired must have a strong command of Geographic Information Systems software, specifically ArcMap (ArcGIS Desktop 10) and ArcGIS Pro. Knowledge of GeoDa and SPSS is also recommended. The successful candidate will require their own personal computer and a stable internet connection to access the virtual systems.

Please note: There are up to 130 hours available for this position and it is possible for more than one employee to be hired depending on applicant scheduling. This can be discussed with supervisor if contacted for interview.
