Access to the Central Services Building during regular hours

Posted by Facilities Management on March 27, 2020 in Facilities Management

IMPORTANT

The basement to third floor of the Central Service Building remains an active work site.  In accordance with the department of health guidelines we are required to have a control zone for anyone entering the work site.  As the first floor lobby, stairwell and elevator are a shared space we are asking Facilities Management staff who are still working in the building to follow the same protocol.  (Please note that these areas are being regularly cleaned and disinfected by Ellis Don staff).

To gain entry to the CSB during regular working hours the protocol is as follows:

-Entry is by the loading bay ramp

-Person approaches the door which is sign posted

-The screening delegate will ask a series of questions

-If the individual fails to answer the questions they will not be given access to the building

-Otherwise the individual will be allowed in the building

A social distancing protocol is in place while queuing, orange marks are laid out on the floor of the loading dock at 2m intervals.  The screening station is manned from 6:15am till 7:30am Monday to Friday. The screening protocols are place between 6:15am & 4:00pm

If not staffed please call:

James Beswick, 902 440 1141

Brad Kelly, 902 403 4593

(These numbers are sign posted so you don't need to remember them).

Please remember these protocols are in place to protect the health and welfare of both Dalhousie University and Contractors alike.
