Taking a moment to reflect on my first few weeks on campus and the very warm welcome that my wife, Rani, and I have received.
I have had the chance to meet and hear from students and colleagues on our Studley, Sexton, Carleton and Agricultural Campuses, as well as our caucuses. Although we each play different roles at the university, what struck me most was our shared priorities and passion for Dal. We are truly one Dalhousie!
It has been my privilege to learn more about the incredible work you are doing – you have already taught me a few things! I look forward to, together, setting our sights boldly higher and taking our place on the world stage, while always maintaining our commitment to impact in our community.
My warmest thanks to all who have already made this place feel like home.
Let’s get to work.
Deep Saini, President and Vice-Chancellor
