POSITION:    Sessional Lecturer HESA 4200

  Winter (January-April, 2019)                                                         ​

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:       School of Health Administration

PAY RATE:    According to CUPE Contract                              

WORK ASSIGNMENT:                 The sessional lecturer will teach one-half credit course, HESA 4200, Epidemiology for Managers, during the winter term (January - April 2019).  Registrants include students enrolled in the Diploma in Emergency Health Services Management and the Diploma in Health Services Administration programs.  For the course description please refer to the Dalhousie Academic Calendar.  Responsibilities include: all aspects of teaching and administering the online course via Dalhousie University's e-learning system; course preparation including course content for lectures, test/assignments/exam preparation and evaluation/marking of student course work, as well as, providing tutorial support to students.  The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course.  The position reports to the Director of the School.  

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Master's degree in health administration with expertise in epidemiology or quantitative methods, several years relevant work experience, and knowledge of e-learning.

Responsibilities include: all aspects of teaching and administering the course; course preparation including course content for lectures, test/assignments/exam preparation and evaluation/marking of student course work, as well as, providing tutorial support to students.  The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course.  The position reports to the Director of the School.  

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:  Chartered Accountant, Master's degree required, with an emphasis in health care accounting/finance, and relevant teaching experience in problem-based learning.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Master's degree in health administration or business administration is required.  Expertise in quality management and health services, and relevant teaching experience in problem-based learning are considered an asset.

For the course description please refer to the Dalhousie Academic Calendar.   Responsibilities include: all aspects of teaching and administering the online course via Dalhousie University's e-learning system; course preparation including course content for lectures, test/assignments/exam preparation and evaluation/marking of student course work, as well as, providing tutorial support to students.  The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course.  The position reports to the Director of the School.
